Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue '<name>, the agitation of the wolves was not new to us, though the cause of their madness was certainly unknown until you came. Indeed, we sent another of our Elves, Pothlorn, to scout the path to the ruins of Ost Thondol. Wolves were seen in that direction as well, and we wished to know how widespread their roaming had become. Alas, we have had no word from Pothlorn. 'Would you search for Pothlorn along that path and learn if he still lives? It may be that some ill has befallen him... and even then, we whish to know of his fate. 'That path begins just to the east and travels into the northern Gorges, swinging eastward away from Nan Tornaeth.' Background The Elf-scouts Narlinn and Fimgris sent you to warn the sons of Elrond of impending danger to Rivendell, and they in turn recruited you to their service. Objective 1 Find Pothlorn Pothlorn was scouting the path which leads north and east through the Gorges to Ost Thondol. Elladan asked you to search for the missing Elf-scout, Pothlorn, and learn whether or not he still lives. Pothlorn: 'Ah, a <race>... it is well for me that you have come, but perhaps not for yourself. This place is unsafe....'
